And Just Take this Habit for Granted?
You wake up and already feel behind.
You're getting ready and trying to do three things at once.
You finish a task—and instead of feeling relieved, you're thinking about the next one.
But here’s the strange thing: no one is pressuring you.
There’s no real emergency.
And still—you feel rushed.
This kind of urgency can become so familiar we stop noticing it.
It drives our pace, our choices, and even our relationships.
It creates a low-level tension that never quite lets us settle.
And it’s often not based on reality.
A Shift You Can Feel––Without Forcing It
A Personal Guidance System, a special mental pathway, can help. One woman, after acquiring her Personal Guidance System, told me that she found herself slowing down, not needing to rush. Instead of darting across the street mid-block, dodging traffic, she simply began walking to the corner to cross. The extra minute it took felt completely fine. In fact, she enjoyed it—and began taking longer walks, which she knew were good for her health. And she enjoyed those, too.
She said she’d always tried to squeeze one more errand into every block of time. It had felt like a given—just part of life. But her Personal Guidance System helped her realize that it wasn't necessary. She felt much more at ease.
My Own Experience
And I have to confess, I had that same habit myself. Before acquiring my Personal Guidance System, I was always trying to do just a little bit more. But with my Personal Guidance System, I was able to stop rushing. It’s amazing how—even with many responsibilities—you can slow down and still get everything done. And feel so much more relaxed and calm.
Real Change, Without Struggle
Sometimes a Personal Guidance System will explain why a certain pattern is harmful. But in these cases—mine and hers—there was no explanation. The shift just happened. Our Personal Guidance Systems simply influenced us to change.
(A Personal Guidance System never forces change. It simply helps you realize that a change will be beneficial… and that it will feel natural, even easy. You can move forward at a pace that’s right for you.)
Here’s Something to Notice this Week:
- Do you feel rushed even when no one’s pushing you?
- Do you fill every small gap with “one more thing”?
- Do you ever feel as if you’re racing against a clock that isn’t real?
Your Personal Guidance System
If you’ve already acquired your Personal Guidance System, this may be something that it is already helping you to change. If you haven’t yet, this might be one more reason to consider it. If you’ve never tried using this pathway at all, it’s easy to begin.
If you’d like to begin, I offer a free resource that shows you how to get started. Just follow this link:

(In this video, it is referred to as an Inner Guide rather than a Personal Guidance System, but the process is the same.)
