Problems That We Know We Have
We are well aware of many of the problems we have: uncomfortable feelings, such as anxiety, depression, chronic irritation, guilt; unwanted character traits, like impatience, shyness, compulsivity; problems with work and with relationships, financial concerns, etc.
Problems That We Don't Know We Have
Many of the same discomforts and problems that are mentioned above, and others, may be present in people who don't identify them as problems. For instance a man I knew was so busy helping others that he became physically run down and exhausted; all without realizing that he was wearing himself out doing more than anyone should reasonably expect of themselves. He didn't know he had a problem. Some people who are depressed, especially those with chronic depression, don't identify their discomfort as depression. They just have a vague feeling of discomfort. What's more, they often assume that this is just the way things are. They have no idea that this discomfort could be ended.
Problems That Cause Only A Vague Sense That Something Is Wrong
Then there is the in-between kind of discomfort; neither the knowledge of a problem nor the lack of knowledge but rather a sense that something isn't right. A sense that you aren't running on all cylinders. A sense that something is holding you back but you have an inability to put a handle on it.
How to Deal with All These Kinds of Problems
I will soon have a course available that will help with all these categories of problems, but in the meantime my complimentary Tool can be of use. In Step 3, instead of wishing to feel peaceful and calm, you can wish for a new mental pathway to be created that will help you identify an unrecognized problem that is holding you back.
