The Beauty in Life

There is so much beauty in life to be experienced with all our senses.  Some of it is obvious: a sunset, a symphony, a fragrance. But for those with a keen appreciation of their surroundings, there is much more: a weed swaying in the wind, the flowing of water in a fountain, the unfolding of shapes as one moves down a hallway or a street.

The Beauty Created by Us and Within Us

Beauty is also created by our own activity. We can luxuriate in the kinesthetic sensations that we experience as we move through our day. And delight in the design and order that has been created by the arrangement of the furnishings in our homes. Our minds are also beautiful things to enjoy with all their wonderful qualities: their intelligence; their capacity for creativity, empathy, kindness and generosity; and above all their ability to love. All of this beauty can be a source of intense pleasure.

Why Aren't We More Aware of All This Beauty?

What gets in our way? The mental static that is created by all of the difficulties in our lives. The uncomfortable emotions, the unsolved problems, the frustrations we encounter, all create mental static that interferes with our ability to perceive things clearly and to appreciate all the beauty around us (and within us).

Some of Us have Massive Amounts of Mental Static

Teachers and nurses are especially burdened right now. Many are overworked, underpaid, and suffer from insufficient support from their administrators and lack of autonomy. Some have to cope with their students' and patients' (and relatives') disrespect and even with physical assaults. The mental static that all this creates is massive. What can they do?

What Can We All Do About This?

How can we fully develop our appreciation of beauty? That's a job for our Inner Guides. By gradually resolving all of our discomforts, they eliminate the mental static that interferes with our ability to perceive and enjoy beauty. Your Inner Guide can also offer some degree of relief for more complex situations like the one mentioned above that many teachers and nurses are facing.

Self-hypnosis and the Inner Guide

An Inner Guide works to gradually eliminate uncomfortable emotions and solve problems. That takes time. But each time we do self-hypnosis, which is the state necessary for your Inner Guide to do its work, we experience a feeling of peacefulness and calm, and we emerge from the self-hypnotic state feeling refreshed...and sometimes with the answer to a problem or question that had been on our minds.

If you haven't yet acquired your Inner Guide, you can do so here:
