The Current Situation
The effects and consequences of the pandemic are now upon us, with canceled events and closed businesses and stores. And, in some areas, shelter-in-place directives. Worldwide, thousands have died, and almost two hundred thousand have become ill. I hope that you have been able to procure the necessary supplies; as some items, such as hand sanitizers, have not been listed as components of past emergency kit lists. And I hope that you are able to follow all the directions for securing your safety.
The most worrisome aspect of this situation is the rationing of medical care that is anticipated as the pandemic worsens. There aren't nearly enough hospital beds, medical supplies and ventilators to meet the anticipated demand.
My Complementary Tool Can Help with Anxiety
During moments when you feel anxious, the Tool can diminish or even completely still your anxiety and leave you feeling calm and refreshed. When used regularly, it can help you feel calm all the time.
The Tool Can Simultaneously Help in A Second Way
We all know how hard it is to rid ourselves of an unwanted habit. (Some that can create special difficulty right now are denial of problems, procrastination, and overcommitment [which causes one to feel overwhelmed when there sudden extra tasks to do].) The reason it's so hard to change a habit is because once that habit has been established, it becomes locked in. The only way it can become unlocked is by the occurrence of a complex stimulus. That will dislodge the habit so that it can be replaced by a better response. (My upcoming course explains the theory by which this happens, but you don't need to know the theory in order to get help. You can get help right now.)
You've heard the saying, "Never let a crisis go to waste." A disaster creates many complex stimuli, so this is a very opportune time to be using the Tool to rid yourself of an unwanted habit. In Step 3, in addition to wishing to feel peaceful and calm, wish for a new mental pathway that will be dedicated to ending whatever habit is troubling you most right now.
