Misjudging Someone Caused Cherone to Lose Her Daughter
I just read an article in today's newspaper about a woman, Cherone, whose estranged fiancé killed their three-year-old daughter. They had recently broken up and he had been given weekend visitation rights with the child. However, his behavior became increasingly bizarre and Cherone was alarmed. She tried to get help from the courts to end his visitation rights but was unsuccessful. The results were tragic. She had become involved with him about a year ago without knowing that in the past he had been charged with assaulting an ex-girlfriend, who said she feared for her life.
Have You Ever Found that You Have Misjudged Someone?
While you hopefully haven't had an experience as devastating as Cherone's, you have most likely been dismayed at times by discovering faults in people that you know. Have you had a friend who you discover is selfish or manipulative? a co-worker who you find has stolen credit or criticized you behind your back? a love interest who turns out to be unfaithful or who doesn't do their share of the chores?
