Here are Three Techniques You Can Use
What would it be like to have an Inner Guide that you could communicate with? In my studies, I've found that about 50% of those who acquire an Inner Guide find that they can communicate with it right away. Others develop communication later.
What Are The Three Techniques? (I use all three.)
1) Finger Signals ("Ideomotor Signaling")
After going into trance, you can ask your Inner Guide, "Which finger (or thumb) signifies "Yes" and a finger (or thumb) will rise, or just tingle. You can then ask which finger (or thumb) signifies "No" and which signifies "I don't know" or "I don't want to say." In this way you can get answers to questions you may have, by asking questions that have "yes" or "no" answers.
2) Automatic Handwriting
After going into trance, you can sit with a paper and pencil and ask any question that you would like to have answered. You will find that your hand automatically writes something. In the beginning, it may just write scribbles, but as the novelty wanes, it will write words, sentences, paragraphs, or even pages. And it can type on the computer. One of the first things my Inner Guide said to me was "Let's go to the computer" because typing is faster than writing.
3) Inner Thought
You may find that you can ask a question in your mind by just thinking it, and you may get a response that is like someone answering you, in your mind.
How Can This Be Helpful?
Because your Inner Guide has access to your entire memory bank, and to all of your subliminal perceptions, it has more knowledge than you are aware of. And you may be surprised how much helpful information your Inner Guide can provide.
You can ask something mundane, like "I'm so busy today. Is it OK if I skip exercising?" (You may choose on your own to skip exercising, but if your Inner Guide says that's OK, you won't feel guilty about it. Your Inner Guide is dedicated to increasing your comfort and it can judge what is best for your health on a given day. If you tried to exercise when you were really too busy, that stress would be worse for your health than skipping exercise.)
You can ask something more important, like, "Why is my boss irritable with me today? Am I doing something wrong?" Your Inner Guide may answer "No, she's just in a bad mood. Something must have upset her today." (You might have wondered about that yourself, but your Inner Guide's confirmation can put you at ease.)
And something very important, like, "Should I change my job?" You will, of course, take into consideration all of the aspects of a potential change, both positive and negative. But because your Inner Guide knows even more than you do, it can make judgments that are more accurate. For instance, if you think you should stay with a job you don't like because it provides a secure income, your Inner Guide may see possibilities for entrepreneurship that you hadn't considered.
And there will be times when your Inner Guide wants to tell you something and it will initiate a conversation with you. You will feel moved to get a paper and pencil and your hand will begin to write automatically.
